My understanding of these phrases is that our diet can be either very healing or it can kill us too early - and unfortunately too many of us eat the cheapest, most convenient ‘food’ we see rather than paying attention to what our body actually needs. We are overwhelmed by confusing advertising, tempted by easily available treats and unhealthy snacks, and the result is that many people in Western ‘developed’ nations are getting sicker and sicker. And more and more dependant on pharmaceutical drugs to keep us upright. Continue reading →

I had just come back from a year of working and travelling around Australia when I was offered a job at Organico as a temporary dishwasher. At that time the café had just been renovated and extended and after a very busy and successful summer to my surprise Hannah and Rachel asked me if I would like to stay on. I immediately said I would love to!
Since then I’ve learnt such a lot and have a whole new sense of pride in all the responsibilities that come with my job. I have the unusual situation that my lovely mother Santhé also works at Organico and yes, we have our days when it can get a bit stressful but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love my mother very much and being able to work with each other is rewarding in itself. Continue reading →

I’ve always loved baking from a young age (I’ve a serious sweet tooth!) but while I was studying in college, I realised what I was making wasn’t exactly the best for my health so I started experimenting with recipes and discovered a whole different way of baking. I began sharing my creations online and after a while built up the courage to create my own blog called ‘Tee’s Nutrition’ so I could share with others my passion for discovering nutritious recipes and food. The blog’s grown to Facebook and Instagram as well and everyone’s been really supportive. Continue reading →
