After three years in Australia, Brid O'Leary, who grew up in Bantry, returned home last April and was looking for a job when she heard that Organico was hiring. We have been delighted to have her working here, mainly in the cafe, where both customers and her colleagues love her positive, friendly attitude.

“I love the diversity of my job; working between the cafe and the kitchen means I never get bored. I'm learning new things every day about different food in the kitchen whilst in the cafe I'm always meeting new, exciting and colourful characters. I also work with a great team of people which makes facing into a long day of work seem a whole lot easier.

In my spare time, I keep myself busy and some way fit. I just lately joined the Bantry Ladies Rugby team and despite my initial concern about the physicality of it all, I'm loving it! It's always great being a member of a team and playing alongside some amazing women including two of my work mates, Liana and Hannah. Now that the season has ended I've decided to chance my arm at football and I'm also giving swing dancing a go, so ye never know, ye might see me on stage during the Ballydehob Jazz Festival!

For the future, I just have a simple dream really – billionaire husband, mansion by the sea and a flashy car, or I suppose I would also settle for travel! There are so many beautiful countries out there with fascinating cultures that I would love the opportunity to explore some day before I settle down with my billionaire!”
