Looking for organic Christmas gift ideas for 2024?

'Tis the season! We're only a couple of weeks out from Christmas Day, which means it's time for us to give you a run-down of some of Organico's most giftable treats this year.

As we've done for the past five seasons running, we asked a few members of our team to select their favourite things from our shelves, to help you shop for your own gang. In each section, you'll find a recommendation for:

-A gift to give

-A gift to receive

-Something to bring to a festive dinner party

So, without further ado, let's tuck into the main event.

Organic Christmas Gift Ideas 2024

Gearoid’s picks

“To gift someone, I’m going for Dr Hauschka’s Soothing Day Lotion. I’ve given it to my girlfriend before and she seems to like it, so I’ll probably gift it to her again.

Very simple; I’d love to receive some coffee. This is Clipper’s instant coffee; it’s so handy. Just wake up in the morning, make a quick cup, and go to work. Very easy! And delicious, which is why it’s my choice.

When going to a dinner party, we’ll go for the Moulin de Peyronin Bordeaux wine. I’ve had it once and it was quite nice—and I’d definitely like to try it again. Plus I think other people would enjoy it, too."

“I would like to receive the Dr Hauschka gift set called ‘Rose Ritual’. Rose cream was my mum’s favourite cream, and that smell—I always associate it with her—but it’s also such a deeply nourishing cream.

My gift to give, this year, is from a company just down the road from Organico. Wasi’s body scrub is really lovely, and they’ve got a gorgeous jar of bath salts too, which are just perfect for the wintertime. Just make sure you’re gifting it to someone who has a bath!

As for the dinner party? Just don’t forget the people who aren’t into booze. This is a really lovely spiced ginger punch from Belvoir, which you can serve warm or cool. And then—a beautiful bottle of port for a hot toddy on a winter’s night, plus a box of Mella’s new fudge. I'd pick the sharing pack of chocolate sour cherry and cacao nib fudge—really tasty.”

“This year, I would like to receive this gorgeous coffee cup designed by Emma Bridgewater, because I love coffee and I’m always on the go—so I love to have my coffee on the go, too. This cup is just so beautiful; with the flowers, it’s just a bit different to the other coffee cups you’d usually find in the shop. So yes, this is my favourite and I would love to get that for myself as a present.

Psssst: if you’ve got a coffee addict in your life, you might fancy checking out the rest of the travel cup range.

I chose this Dr Hauschka Lavendar set to give to someone this year, and when I look at this gift box, straight away I think of my sister. She loves lavender, it’s her favourite, and I think this box is just fabulous because it has a really nice body wash, a beautiful lavender body oil (which is probably her favourite thing I’ve given her over the years), and then the really lovely soap. I think this is just such a beautiful gift to give someone.

When I’m going to a dinner party this year, I’ll have to bring the La Corte Del Pozzo Organic Prosecco—look how fun the label is! I’ve never seen anything like that, so I can’t wait to try it myself. When you look at that bottle, you just think to yourself, “This has to be nice”.

I also love crackers and cheese, and I think most parties can’t go without it. So I’ll also be bringing Durrus Cheese and Irish black olive crackers, which are really yummy—and they go so well together.”

“I want to be given something from The Hare and the Moon Apothecary, which is based in Co. Clare. All the products are handmade by Danu—and they’re incredible. They come in these beautiful little bags. There are three sprays; my personal favourite is the grounding spray, and I also absolutely love the roller balls. The Neroli roller ball, in particular, just has the most incredible scent.

When it comes to gifting, I’m turning to the Booja Booja Loglets. I can’t open them up to show you, because if I do I’ll eat them all. They’re a little bit sticky; they’re completely delicious; they’d be amazing to give as a present this Christmas. I haven’t actually tried the orange ones yet; very excited to do so, though.

My dinner party pick? I absolutely love the Valentia Island Vermouth. You can either have it neat over ice or make a long drink with orange juice and slices of organic orange. It’s absolutely delicious—winter or summer—but particularly for Christmas. There’s even a little recipe inside the label for a negroni. Gorgeous!”

The Hauschka Rose Day Cream and Kinvara 24hr Rosehip Serum are probably my favourite products—so I’d love to receive them as a gift this Christmas.

The Rose Day Cream is a really rich moisturiser with a beautiful rose scent. It’s perfect for this time of year; in the winter, when you’ve got the heat on and fires going and your skin feels just that bit more dry than normal. The Kinvara Serum, then, is gorgeous; it really brightens the skin and looks fab under makeup.

This year, I’ll be gifting the Olae Sérum Éclat 15% Vitamin C. It’s one of our new products in the shop; it’s French. The range has ingredients that are over 98% of natural origin, and the high concentration of vitamin C will give your skin a really good glow—and help produce collagen.

When I head off to a dinner party, I’ll be bringing the Bogarve LaCruz Vega Verdejo Organic White Wine. It’s a Sauvignon Blanc from Spain. I’ve drunk it before and it was lovely; fruity, light. I always bring it to dinner parties—it’s a go-to for me.”
