ERA Montepulciano originates from the Chieti area of Abruzzo and is crafted with organic grapes. Medium ruby in color, this wine offers aromas of red cherry, dried fruit, subtle oak, and savory herbs. It is medium-bodied with a soft texture, showcasing pleasing berry fruit, light cedar, and additional savory herb notes on the palate. As an organic wine, its production adheres to strict organic practices in both the vineyard and winery, while allowing minimal use of sulfites. The wine is also vegan and vegetarian-friendly.

Cantine Volpi, the family enterprise behind this wine, was established in the Piemontese town of Tortona in 1914. After years of experience producing wine with others' grapes, Bruno and Carlo Volpi acquired high-quality properties in Colli Tortonesi in the 1980s to ensure top-notch local fruit. In this case, Cantine Volpi acts as both bottler and agent for organic wines sourced from regions like Veneto, Sicily, Puglia, Marche, Molise, and Abruzzo. Their vineyards span 115 hectares and have been fully organic since 2000.
