On the first of this month we opened a new Deli in Organico, and we couldn’t be happier to be feeding you again. So the next time you’re in the area and hankering for a coffee, salad, sandwich, or baked treat… we’ve got you covered!
What’s changed at Organico?
If you’re a local customer, then you probably know that we used to have a cafe next to Organico Shop which had been open since 2002. In March 2020, when the first of the restrictions came into place, we made the tough decision to permanently close the cafe.
But even then, we knew we weren’t permanently leaving food service behind.
It wasn’t long before Rachel was dreaming up a whole new food venture: a Deli, filled with foods and drinks freshly made in our kitchen all ready for you to grab ‘n go.
But it’s not just the Deli that’s changed... Hannah realised that by repurposing the former cafe, we’d be able to create an extended shopping space, which means a more comfortable shopping experience for you.
How it’s all going
We’re serving lunch, coffee, and cakes (all takeaway) till approx 4pm Monday - Saturday. (Lunch foods may sell out earlier than that - when it’s gone, it’s gone!)
Our daily menu includes salad boxes, sandwiches, cakes, snacks, and coffee - all made from organic, local, and seasonal ingredients, and with a focus on plant-based options.
Since opening on the 1st of June, it’s been incredible to see so many lovely familiar faces. And we’re especially delighted to be feeding you again! That's something we’ve really missed.
It’s been great - the number of people making good use of the Deli as a stopover to load up on picnic supplies before heading off to one of West Cork’s gorgeous locations. A new tradition in the making!
