Albet i Noya is a pioneering winery in organic viticulture. This family-owned estate, now managed by the fourth generation, has been committed to organic farming since 1979. Located in the Penedès region, the vines for Lignum Negre are planted in clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 250-320 meters, with an average vine age of 17 years. These vines are cultivated under strict organic principles, ensuring low yields and concentrated berries. After hand-harvesting and selection, the grapes undergo fermentation with native yeasts, a 6-10 day maceration with pump-overs, and aging in 225-liter French oak barrels for 11 months, followed by 4 months of bottle refinement.
