Wild Irish Sea Veg Dillisk (50g) - Dillisk, also known as dulse, sea parsley duileasc and creathnach has a slightly salty taste with a pleasant chewy texture when eaten raw. When cooked it has more of a smooth buttery texture.
Nutrtitionally, dillisk is high in fibre, iron, and protein (containing all essential amino acids). It also contains iodine, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, manganese, vitamin A, C, D and the B vitamins.
Dillisk can be eaten dry fresh, rehydrated or cooked and can be used in various dishes, including raw salads, slaws, tapenades, or dressings, and goes well with rice, potatoes, fish and dairy products. It can also be baked it in to bread.
