A unique combination of plant sterols, red yeast rice, a traditional Chinese extract from rice fermented with monascus purpureus, and policosanol extract. Plant sterols block the absorption of cholesterol from your diet to help maintain normal blood cholesterol levels, whilst red yeast rice has been used for centuries for its potent health giving properties. Policosanol is found naturally in sugar cane waxes. The formula also includes cinnamon bark extract and vitamin E for complete support. Vitamin E helps protect against the oxidation of cholesterol.

Oxidation is a chemical process in the body where molecules in our cells, or in this case, fats such as cholesterol become damaged by unstable molecules called free radicals. It is believed that the oxidised cholesterol in particular is harmful to the health of the arteries, causing inflammation and hardening. Excessive oxidation may be caused by factors such as stress, smoking and alcohol.

Directions

Adults take 2 tablets twice a day after meals for 12 weeks, thereafter 1 tablet twice a day. The total dietary intake (from foods and supplements) of phytosterols should not exceed 3g a day and intake of monacolins from red yeast rice should be less than 3mg a day.

Do not take if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, if you are taking cholesterol-lowering medication or other products containing red yeast rice. If you are taking any medication or have a medical condition, please consult your healthcare professional before using this product. Seek advice from a doctor on consumption of this product if you experience any health problems. Not suitable for children below 5 years old and adults above 70 years old. May cause a temporary and harmless red colouring of the stool. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
