Organic Pearled Barley Barley is a wonderfully versatile cereal grain with a rich nutlike flavour that originated in Ethiopia and Southeast Asia. It is full of vitamins and minerals and bursting with fibre. Pearl barley, or pearled barley, is barley that has been processed to remove its hull and bran. It is used a lot in soups and stews as a thickener and barley water is normally made from this.
Contains gluten.
Cooking Instructions: Simmer in 3 parts water to 1 part barley for approx. 45 minutes.
