This July, we're hosting many lovely events in Organico and we'd love for you to join us.
Taste: Durrus Cheese
Friday, 6th July in Organico Shop
It’s not just us who think Durrus Cheese is fantastic - the company has plenty of awards to prove that others do too! When Jeffa Gill founded Durrus Cheese in 1979, she was part of a small group of women who revitalized farmhouse cheesemaking in Ireland and sparked the country’s (still strong) artisan cheese movement. She and her team continue to make Durrus Cheese by hand to this day, sourcing milk from cows that graze in pastures in West Cork. Come and taste their semi-soft, washed-rind cheese with its full and balanced flavours that show off the best of Irish cheesemaking.

Taste: Roaring Water Sea Vegetable
Friday, 13th July in Organico Shop
Come and try the products from Ireland’s oldest seaweed farm, Roaring Water Sea Vegetable. Founder Paul Cobb tapped into a natural resource when he began harvesting and processing seaweeds destined for the dinner table. Seaweed is ideal for the Irish diet thanks to its abundance along the coasts, its sustainability, its promotion of diversity among the fish population, and its rich source of nutrients. Paul produces dried seaweeds for cooking as well as tasty seaweed-based, vegan products including sausages, black puddings and burgers.
