Nuala Invite ONLINE Our next exhibition in the cafe is the work of Sherkin photographer Nuala Mahon. Her photography career began when she was given a box Brownie camera by her father, at the age of twelve, and she has been capturing images ever since. Nuala is also an extensive traveller; most of her life has been spent outside Ireland and she has visited every continent and lived and worked in many places, including West Africa. She now spends a lot of time in Provence, France, where she has a home. She travels light, carrying only a few possessions and her camera. On recent travels to South America she spent time in Chile where she explored the amazing street art of Valparaiso. This fed her deep fascination with street photography and especially street art, which will be reflected in the work on show. The exhibition runs from Monday 1st August until Saturday 17th September and will be marked by Nuala's talk about Chile and its street art. This will be on Saturday 6th August at 5pm - everyone is welcome and there will be delicious free organic wine. In addition to her photography, she is a passionate gardener. She derives much inspiration from her garden and has some very beautiful photographs of flowers that will also be in the exhibition.
