Rio Amazon Camu-Camu capsules contain a bioactive-rich food powder from Myrciaria dubia, a small tree that produces a cherry-sized fruit that contains the most concentrated source of vitamin C of any other known fruit on earth. As it is a natural product, the amount of vitamin C varies according to harvest conditions etc. The fruit contains other constituents that work synergistically alongside the ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in the fruit, such as potassium which is suggested to accelerate its intestinal absorption.

Camu-Camu has approximately 2g vitamin C per 100g of fruit. Rio Amazon Camu-Camu capsules contain an 8:1 juice extract so each 500mg capsule contains the equivalent to 4,000mg of Camu-Camu fruit. This means that each capsule has approximately 80mg of vitamin C, which is delivered alongside other constituents in the fruit, including antioxidants which can benefit in combination with the vitamin C in the Camu-Camu fruit.
