Yogatic! Yoga West Cork
Yogatic! is a new yoga website set up by well-known yoga instructor Esther Ekhart which aims to become an all-round information center on yoga. The site features some great yoga video. Esther teaches at the Boab center, near Kealkil in West Cork, and is so popular you have to que for months to get into one of her classes. I was lucky enought to get a place about 2 years ago and am looking to increse to 2 classes a week! Esther’s style constantly changes but is always very theraputic for me - whether emotionally (I sometimes arrives very stressed from work but nearly always leave relaxed) or physically (I have had considerable relief from sciatica through the classes that focus on the back). Our class is a mixture of people - some with severe back problems, some new to yoga, or some like me who have been ‘doing’ yoga for nearly 20 years but have never kept it up consistantly till now. These days, if I stop for more than 2 weeks I can really feel the difference in my general sense of wellbeing!
The classes are never the same from one wek to the next, but they always work for me. The only drawback is the waiting list - if it wasn’t for that I could be reccommending several people a week to join up to Esther’s classes. Hopefully from this new web-venture Esther will work out a way of reaching more people than she can through her classes.
